NOKIA X2: NEW ANDROID SMARTPHONE FROM MICROSOFT (PART II)

DESIGN AND DISPLAY
If you compare Nokia X2 to its first generation, Nokia X, there are not many changes in design, Nokia X was beautiful, so Microsoft still wants to keep X’s design for X2. Microsoft uses high quality plastic to build X2 with many colours like white, black, green, orange – brown, red… it makes X2 more impressive and attractive. X2 has a Home button, it’s different from X. Nokia X had not Home button, so many customers complain that it’s difficult to use because they could not get back home screen easily when they want, so Microsoft adds a Home button for X2 to meet customer’s demands, so I think X2’s design is slightly better than X.

Nokia X2 has a 4.3 inches IPS LCD screen with 480 x 800 pixels (217 ppi), this screen is good enough for daily demands like viewing videos, images or playing games. Colours on X2 are warm and an IPS screen helps X2 displays well, contrast ratio is very good.

PERFORMANCE
Nokia X2 has not only a strong configuration with a CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual – core 1.2GHz, 1GB Ram and GPU Andreno 302 but also a good AOSP based on Android 4.3, these things help X2 runs fast, it can shift between screens smoothly, no lag. Microsoft designed a customized interface for X2, it looks like Windows Phone’s interface and you will feel comfortable when you use it. Because X2 has an Android core so I can run many Android’s apps, but you can not download apps from Google Play directly, Microsoft requires customers have to download Android’s apps from a special store. There are many popular apps on it like Skype, Facebook, Twitter… and it runs well on X2.
