TG – 3 is a very small compact camera, so you can bring it to everywhere easily, if you are a traveler who have to move frequently, TG – 3 is a fit choice. Although TG – 3 is quite small, but Olympus integrated some special technologies like dust – proof, freeze – proof or shock – proof fot TG – 3, so you will have no worry about damage when you use this camera even though you use it in desert, under raining…TG – 3 has a GPS, it is really helpful when you need to locate where are you. However, to keep TG – 3 small, Olympus just gave it a small point – and – shoot sensor and it makes TG – 3 has some minus point like lower resolution than others (16 MP compared to 24.3 MP of Sony Alpha A6000).
6. RICOH GR
RICOH GR is a considerable option when you want a compact camera for your travel. It has a 28 mm lens to help you take impressive pictures. RICOH also interated a reasonable – size sensor into GR. These 2 components are the basic factors to create the reputation of GR. RICOH released a special version of GR with Leica lens for someone who does not satisfy with GR’s standard version and want to have more quality pictures, of course, the price must be higher, if you do not have demand of Leica lens, the quality of GR’s standard version is also very good.
7. Sony DSC – RX10
If you want a multi – function camera, Sony DSC – RX10 should be on your list. It is not a slim camera, there will be some inconveniences if you use it on your journey and this is the reason why RX10’s position is at the bottom of the best camera for traveling list. But if you can accept this point, you will have a very good compact camera. With RX10, you will have a wide zoom, from 24 to 200 mm, so you can capture an animal’s picture clearly even though you do not need to approach it. The RX10’s lens comes from Carl Zeiss, a renowned lens producer like Leica, so you can absolutely believe in the pictures taken by RX10. RX10’s sensors and lens also make your job easier when you want to take pictures in darkness and it is a strength in comparison to others.
