DISPLAY
The screens of S5 and M8 are the same size (5 inch) but it’s different screen technology. Samsung equips a super AMOLED screen for S5, it’s very good, black colour seems to be displayed very well with an AMOLED screen, so it helps you can look better if you’re in a dark room. In contrast, HTC equips a super LCD for M8, this screen provides true and natural colours, it displays bright colours better than other screens, so it’s very good if you have to use phone outdoor.
